Scuf's Pizza

Frequently Asked Questions

The pizza

Who actually makes the pizza?
I'm Garrett, and I'll be the one making your pizzas!
What kind of pizza is it?
Thin & Crispy, 16 inch New York Style Pizzas. The perfect balance of tomato sauce and cheese on a homemade dough, finished off with fresh basil.
What's on the menu?
Cheese and Pepperoni are always included, and you pick two more for your event: Zep & Pep (cupped pepperoni, hot honey, jalapeños) or Chicken Pesto. You can see them all on the menu page.
Do you have gluten-free or vegan options?
Not right now. I don't currently offer gluten-free or vegan pizza. If anyone in your group has a food allergy, let me know in the booking form.

The party

How does the night work?
I prepare all the dough, sauce, and toppings prior to the event! I arrive early to get my oven set up and have the pizzas ready by the time your event starts. Your guests can grab slices as the pizzas are coming out of the oven.
What's included?
Three hours of pizza service, where guests can grab slices as pizzas come out from the oven. Cheese, Pepperoni, & two additional styles of your choice will be made for the duration of the event.
How many guests can you do?
I can comfortably make pizza for up to 100 people. For larger gatherings, I extend the serving time so there's plenty of pizza for everyone.
How much space do you need?
An outdoor patio space of at least 10 by 10 feet. That gives me room for the oven, my tables and prep.
How far will you travel?
I'm based in San Carlos, and the Peninsula is home. I'll travel almost anywhere in the Bay Area.

Booking and payment

What does it cost?
$33 a guest, with three hours of service. Every event has a $1,000 minimum, or $1,500 on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
How do I book?
Fill out the booking form with your date, guest count and address. I'll get back to you to go over the details and confirm your price. Then you sign a short event agreement online, and a 50% deposit locks in your date.
When is my date locked in?
As soon as your deposit is paid. Until then, the date is still open to other bookings. I only do one event a day.
How do I pay?
Both payments come as invoices by email that you pay online. The 50% deposit comes when you book. The other 50% is due 7 days before your event.
What if I don't know my exact guest count yet?
That's fine. Give me your best guess when you book. I just need your final headcount 2 weeks before your event.
How far ahead should I book?
As soon as you know your date. Booking early gives us both time to check availability and plan your night properly.

The fine print
